Get Messy With Us

Welcome to Hot Mess Art — where faith and paint collide in the middle of life’s chaos. Here, Jesus meets us in the splatters and torn edges, reminding us that beauty and grace can grow out of any mess. No perfection required — just an open heart and hands willing to create.

Check out our blog, Scribbles & Grace, where faith and creativity meet in the middle of real life’s mess. You’ll find devotionals, Bible journaling inspiration and honest words about following Jesus in the everyday.

New posts are added regularly—full of encouragement, reflection, and a little mixed-media joy.

Not perfect? Good. Neither are we.

Hot Mess Art Bible Study is a weekly, come-as-you-are creative night with Scripture, journaling, and mixed-media art. No art experience needed. No perfect answers required. Just real people, real pages, and space to breathe, create, and reflect together. If you’re local to the Pittsburgh area, come hang out with us.

The Chaos Lab

The Chaos Lab is a monthly junk journal gathering designed for movement, texture and creative release.

This isn’t a traditional art class. It’s not about perfect spreads or polished outcomes. It’s a space to experiment, layer, stitch, tear and build pages that can hold more than words.

Once a month, we gather around a long table at Alloy 13 and begin with a quick creative drop to shake off the week. Each session features one focused technique — from visible mending and stitched spines to layered pockets and textured pages — followed by a loose creative prompt designed to help you explore without overthinking.

You don’t need experience. You don’t need to be “artistic.” You don’t need to share anything you’re not ready to share.

Chaos Lab is about process, not performance.

Bring your own journal or purchase a handmade Chaos Lab journal when you register.

Seats are intentionally limited to 10 to preserve the atmosphere.

2nd Wednesday of every month.
